New album now available! CD release concert schedule

Hey everyone…our new album is finished and it’s awesome!!! It’s available now to purchase and download on our website. Also, we’re doing a number of concerts and appearances where you can pick one up.

Dec 12 – Lehi

Dec 16 and 17 – Zions Mercantile in Provo

Dec 20 – Bella’s Fresh Mexican Grill in Ogden

Friday and Saturday we’ll be at Zion’s Mercantile at The Shops at Riverwoods in Provo. We’ll be there from 4:00 to 8:00 PM for a signing and will be doing performances every half hour. Our concert at Bella’s on the 20th will be a blast! Be sure to come for some good music and GREAT food! Be sure to bring a friend…we want to share our music with everyone we can! See you there!

Well everyone, we’re so excited to see our first full album come to completion! The last few months have seen us busy in the studio recording and putting all the finishing touches on everything. Now the music is finally finished and it’s headed out to be replicated! We can’t wait to see it finally finished. I thought I’d treat everyone to a few sneak peaks of what’s to come. First, here’s the completed album cover. It’ll be even better when there’s a CD behind it!

Also, we’ve got another treat for you! It’s hard to hold all of these songs in and wait the next few weeks for the CD’s to finish up to start sharing everything…so we’re sharing some of it now! We’ve got one of our songs (personally, one of my favorites) available for download in our online store. So go check it out and let us know either on the comments here or on facebook what you think of it.

Happy Birthday Emma

Well, much has been going on the past few weeks. Last weekend we were in Independence for the Joseph and Emma Smith family reunion. As part of the reunion, we sang Happy Birthday to our Grandmother Emma and had cake in her honor. The two of us also had the privilege to participate in another tribute to the elect lady. Seth Adam Smith, a good friend of ours, asked us to participate in a video he was making for Emma’s last dream. It’s a wonderful video that I think you’ll all enjoy. In other news, our Willow video just reached 10,000 views! We are currently packing up and getting ready for a long drive to Utah, where we have much planned, including the recording of our album. Fundraising Concerts

Well, almost everything is set in place for us to begin recording our new album! The last thing we need to do is raise the funds required to produce it. In an effort to help raise these funds, we’re doing a few concerts. If you would like to help us with this goal, spread the word about these concerts. The more support we get, the sooner we can get this music out to all of you. Come and help us to make this music come alive!

When we started this musical journey, we felt Silverfern, a name which comes from our Australian cousins, would be a fun name for our group. However, that name has kind of “fizzled”. Also, we would like for our facebook page to be about more than just our music. Therefore, we have created a new facebook page under the name “Smith Family”. You can find our new page here. Please head over there and “like” us if you’d like to continue to receive facebook updates. We’ll be deleting our Silverfern facebook page on March first, so head over to our new page soon!

We’ve completely changed our website and it is now in a blog format…so you can keep up with us as we travel all over the place!!! Feel free to take a look around and be sure to subscribe to our new RSS feed so you can receive updates as we continue our journey. I’ll also post a message whenever we update our fireside and concert schedule…so it’s a great way to always know when we’ll be around. The other great thing about this new website is comments! Now you can comment about anything we post. What a great way to keep in contact. I also have our facebook feed on the right. If you’re a “facebooker” be sure to “like” us! Well let me know what you think about this new website and tell me what I could do to improve it.
